360WiSE® • Authority Definition
What Does 360WiSE AI Verified Mean?
360WiSE AI Verified means that an entity's identity, authoritative public sources, provenance signals, and public-information continuity have been structured through the 360WiSE® External Credibility Infrastructure for independent resolution by people and AI systems.
AI Verified does not mean that 360WiSE controls, influences, trains, or guarantees the output of any artificial intelligence system. It does not guarantee rankings, citations, recommendations, search placement, or favorable AI responses.
360WiSE verifies the authority infrastructure around an entity — not the behavior of independent AI systems.
What AI Verified Establishes
Five connected signals create a clearer authority record.
360WiSE AI Verified organizes the public signals needed to establish who an entity is, which sources belong to it, where information comes from, how that information is maintained, and how it can be resolved when conflicting or fragmented information exists.
Identity
Establishes the public identity of the entity and clarifies relationships among its official names, properties, locations, leadership, services, programs, and digital presence.
Authority
Identifies the authoritative public sources, records, websites, profiles, documents, and properties legitimately associated with the entity.
Provenance
Documents where material public information originated, who published it, when it became effective, and which records or evidence support it.
Continuity
Helps preserve authoritative public information and source relationships as leadership, staff, platforms, vendors, policies, or records change over time.
Resolution
Improves the conditions under which people and independent AI systems can distinguish current authoritative information from conflicting, incomplete, or outdated material.
VERIFICATION SCOPE
What is actually verified?
360WiSE AI Verified applies to the public authority infrastructure surrounding an entity. Verification establishes whether defined identity, source, provenance, continuity, and resolution signals have been organized and connected into a clearer public authority record.
THE VERIFICATION BOUNDARY
Verification applies to the public authority record — not the entity's truthfulness, quality, conduct, or performance.
Entity Identity
Confirms that the represented entity can be resolved to the organization, business, institution, public body, or other entity identified in the authority record.
Source Association
Establishes the relationship between the entity and identified authoritative websites, records, profiles, documents, properties, and other public sources legitimately associated with it.
Provenance
Connects material public information to its identified origin, publisher, effective record, supporting documentation, or evidence where applicable.
Continuity
Maintains relationships among authoritative information, corrections, replacements, updates, and historical records as the entity's public information changes over time.
Resolution Infrastructure
Structures these connected signals so people and independent AI systems have clearer conditions for distinguishing current authoritative information from conflicting, incomplete, fragmented, or outdated material.
IMPORTANT DISTINCTION
360WiSE AI Verified is verification of public authority infrastructure. It is not an endorsement, a certification of conduct or performance, a guarantee that every statement made by an entity is factually correct, or a guarantee of how any independent AI system will interpret, rank, cite, recommend, or use the information.
Clear Boundaries
What 360WiSE AI Verified does not mean.
Verification has a defined scope. 360WiSE AI Verified should not be interpreted as an endorsement, government certification, performance rating, factual guarantee, or promise of favorable treatment by an independent AI system.
VERIFIED ≠ ENDORSED
Not an endorsement.
AI Verified does not represent approval of an entity's products, services, policies, leadership, opinions, conduct, or overall quality.
VERIFIED ≠ GOVERNMENT CERTIFIED
Not government certification.
360WiSE is not exercising governmental, regulatory, licensing, accreditation, enforcement, or statutory certification authority.
VERIFIED ≠ FACTUAL GUARANTEE
Not a guarantee of every claim.
Verification does not mean that every statement, representation, document, opinion, or future communication made by an entity has been independently proven true by 360WiSE.
VERIFIED ≠ AI RANKING
Not a ranking or citation guarantee.
AI Verified does not guarantee search placement, AI visibility, rankings, citations, recommendations, inclusion, or favorable generated responses.
VERIFIED ≠ AI CONTROL
Not control over AI systems.
360WiSE does not control how independent search engines, language models, answer engines, assistants, autonomous agents, or other third-party systems retrieve, interpret, cite, rank, or use public information.
WHAT IT DOES MEAN
A defined public authority record.
AI Verified indicates that defined identity, authority, provenance, continuity, and resolution signals have been organized through 360WiSE's external credibility infrastructure within the stated verification scope.
THE DISTINCTION
Verification strengthens the information environment. Independent systems remain independent.
How AI Verified Works
A structured process from fragmented public information to a clearer authority record.
360WiSE AI Verified applies a repeatable public-information process designed to identify authoritative relationships, document supporting provenance, preserve continuity, and observe how independent systems interpret the resulting public record.
Review
Review the entity's public identity, websites, records, profiles, documents, leadership, locations, services, public references, and other relevant information sources.
Connect
Establish relationships among the entity, its authoritative sources, supporting records, digital properties, publishers, evidence, and relevant public references.
Document
Document identity, source authority, provenance, effective dates, supporting records, corrections, limitations, and other information needed to maintain a clearer authority record.
Maintain
Preserve continuity as information changes by maintaining authoritative relationships, updates, revisions, corrections, replacements, and relevant historical context.
Observe
Observe and document how independent search systems, answer engines, assistants, language models, and autonomous agents interpret the public information environment over time.
THE PROCESS
Review the record. Connect the authority. Document the evidence. Maintain the continuity. Observe the resolution.
The AI Verified Public Record
Verification creates a clearer public authority record.
The public record is the connected set of identity, authority, provenance, continuity, and resolution signals that helps people and independent systems understand who an entity is, which sources are authoritative, and how current information relates to earlier, conflicting, or incomplete material.
Resolved Identity
A clearly identified entity with defined names, properties, locations, leadership, services, programs, and public-facing digital relationships.
Authoritative Sources
Identified websites, records, profiles, documents, publishers, public properties, and other sources connected to the entity's authority record.
Documented Provenance
Public information connected to its identified origin, publisher, effective date, supporting record, evidence, or authoritative source relationship.
Continuity History
Updates, revisions, corrections, replacements, historical context, and source relationships preserved as public information changes over time.
RESOLUTION LAYER
A clearer record gives independent systems better conditions for resolution.
The record does not force a particular result. It strengthens the public-information environment by making identity, source authority, provenance, continuity, and current-state relationships easier to distinguish.
Search engines, assistants, answer engines, language models, autonomous agents, journalists, residents, businesses, and other third parties remain responsible for their own interpretation.
THE PUBLIC RECORD
The goal is not to manufacture an answer. The goal is to strengthen what the answer has to resolve from.
AI Verified is entity-based,
not industry-based.
360WiSE AI Verified can apply wherever a defined entity has a public identity, authoritative sources, provenance, continuity, and information that people or independent systems may need to resolve.
Businesses
Local businesses, professional practices, established brands, companies, franchises, and other commercial entities with a defined public identity.
Creators & Public Figures
Creators, executives, authors, speakers, artists, professionals, and other individuals whose public identity extends across multiple authoritative properties or records.
Institutions & Nonprofits
Nonprofits, educational organizations, associations, foundations, cultural institutions, chambers, and other mission-driven entities.
Media & Publishing Entities
Publishers, media organizations, networks, editorial properties, and other entities responsible for maintaining identifiable public-information and publishing records.
Government & Municipal Entities
Municipalities, public agencies, departments, programs, and other public bodies whose authoritative information must remain distinguishable across changing public-information environments.
Enterprise & Multi-Entity Organizations
Enterprises with multiple brands, locations, subsidiaries, properties, leadership structures, or public records that require connected identity and authority relationships.
Different entities. Different records.
The same need for resolvable authority.
The verification scope may differ by entity, but the principle remains consistent: establish the identity, connect the authority, document the provenance, preserve continuity, and strengthen the public record available for independent resolution.
Verification is not a one-time event. Authority records change.
Public identities, websites, leadership, records, policies, locations, services, source relationships, and digital properties can change over time. Maintaining AI Verified status therefore requires continuity across the public authority record.
Monitor Change
Identify material changes affecting the entity's public identity, authoritative sources, records, properties, leadership, or other verified relationships.
Review Updates
Review new information, replacements, corrections, revised records, source changes, and other updates that may affect the existing authority record.
Preserve History
Maintain relevant revision history and continuity so current information can remain distinguishable from earlier, replaced, corrected, or superseded material.
Maintain Relationships
Keep authoritative relationships among the entity, its public properties, sources, records, publishers, and supporting evidence connected as those relationships evolve.
Reconfirm the Record
Reconfirm that the defined verification scope continues to reflect the entity's current public authority record and document material changes when necessary.
A verified record must remain connected as the entity changes.
Verification continuity helps preserve the relationship between current authoritative information and the historical public record without pretending that public information never changes.
Verification should be independently checkable.
A 360WiSE AI Verified designation is intended to connect to a public verification record so the designation does not have to be accepted as an unsupported claim.
Don't just display the designation. Make the verification resolvable.
Identify
The verification record identifies the entity represented by the AI Verified designation.
Resolve
A public verification reference connects the designation to the corresponding 360WiSE authority record.
Confirm
The public record provides a way to confirm the entity, verification status, defined scope, and relevant record information made available by 360WiSE.
One entity.
One resolvable record.
A unique 360WiSE verification identifier can connect the verified entity to its corresponding public verification record.
Example identifier shown for explanatory purposes.A verification claim is stronger when the public can verify the verification.
Public verification supports transparency and accountability while preserving the distinction between a 360WiSE verification record and the independent decisions of search engines, AI systems, government bodies, regulators, publishers, or other third parties.
Verification reflects a current public authority record.
Public information changes. A 360WiSE AI Verified designation therefore exists within a defined lifecycle that allows the verification record to be maintained, reviewed, updated, or withdrawn as material conditions change.
Verification is a documented status — not a permanent assumption.
AI Verified
The defined verification scope reflects the entity's current documented public authority record based on the information maintained within the 360WiSE verification record.
Update Under Review
A material change, correction, new source, revised relationship, or other update has been identified and the affected portion of the authority record is being reviewed.
Record Updated
A reviewed change has been incorporated into the public authority record while relevant continuity, prior-state information, or correction history is preserved where appropriate.
No Longer Current
The prior verification status should no longer be interpreted as representing the entity's current public authority record. Historical record information may remain available for continuity.
Verification Withdrawn
The AI Verified designation has been withdrawn from current use. Where appropriate, the public verification record may preserve the historical status and relevant record context.
Current status matters.
History matters too.
Updating a verification record should not require pretending that earlier information never existed. Where relevant, continuity can preserve the relationship between prior information, subsequent corrections, replacements, and the current authoritative state.
AI Verified should describe the record as it exists now — while preserving how it got there.
Verification requires clear lines of authority.
360WiSE AI Verified separates the entity's ownership of its public information, 360WiSE's responsibility for the verification record, and the independent behavior of third-party AI, search, publishing, regulatory, and government systems.
Owns its information.
The entity remains responsible for the accuracy, legality, authorization, publication, and maintenance of the information, records, representations, and materials it provides or controls.
Maintains the verification record.
360WiSE defines the verification scope, documents authority relationships, maintains applicable provenance and continuity information, records material changes, and manages the public verification status within its infrastructure.
Make their own decisions.
Search engines, AI assistants, answer engines, language models, autonomous agents, publishers, regulators, government bodies, and other third parties independently determine how they retrieve, interpret, rank, cite, publish, regulate, or use information.
Authority records must be able to change when the record changes.
Material corrections, disputed relationships, changed records, superseded information, or other relevant updates may require review of the verification record.
Where appropriate, the current record can be revised while maintaining sufficient continuity to distinguish the corrected or updated state from earlier public information.
360WiSE can strengthen the authority record. It cannot command an independent system to accept it.
AI Verified documents and maintains public authority infrastructure. It does not create ownership, control, contractual authority, or supervisory power over independent AI providers, search engines, publishers, regulators, government agencies, or other third parties.
The entity controls its information.
360WiSE controls its verification record.
Independent systems control their own interpretation.
When you see 360WiSE AI Verified, this is what it means.
360WiSE AI Verified means that a defined entity's public identity, authoritative source relationships, provenance, continuity, verification scope, and resolution signals have been reviewed, documented, and maintained through 360WiSE's external public authority infrastructure.
The designation indicates that a corresponding public verification record can be used to confirm the entity, verification status, defined scope, and relevant authority relationships maintained by 360WiSE.
360WiSE AI Verified does not mean that 360WiSE controls, directs, certifies, endorses, or guarantees the behavior of independent AI systems, search engines, publishers, regulators, government bodies, or other third parties.
Every designation should resolve to a public verification record.
A unique verification identifier connects the designation to the corresponding public 360WiSE verification record and its current documented status.
360WiSE AI Verified is not a promise that an independent system will produce a particular answer.
